I am only getting 32 mailboxes on startalk 4.how do i get all 48

You sure about 32?
Startalk Flash comes with 24 and upgrades to 48 via Expansion Cartridge.
Power down, insert cartridge, power up.

it has an 4 on cover should i have 48 boxes?i am only getting 32 will try your suggestiion.anything else i should try?

Just giving instructions if you need a cartridge, once plugged in you get 4 channels of voicemail, 48 mailboxes and 180 minutes of storage
Is the digit 4 on the cartridge itself and not the cover perhaps? the cartridge has tabs on the sides and you would pull it outwards to remove it (when power is off).

-How do you know its only 32?

-Log to 983 then press 44 and add/view what is installed.
-Log to 983 and press 9 for version to verify type of vmail, look at software card for version or NT code as well.
-Log to 983 and press MBOX/CHG/DIR and count (keep pressing NEXT) how many mailboxes created.

When creating a mailbox the first choice is "Subscriber" and can be changed to "Info", when only "Info" is displayed with no "Subscriber" choice then you are out of mailboxes.

would rebuilding that voice mail work? does Feature 903 help or Feature 9*1
