have to remove batteries then restart to get system up and running ....several times... back up restore doesnt work
system reset doesnt work 728
system is less then 3 months old
whats the trick to restarting after a power failure??
( one step forward in technology one step backward in reliability)

Unless I am misreading the first few lines of the post, it says that you have a Partner ACS R6 and "0" back-up cards?

You might want to add some form of a back-up card to the system and save the configuration and see if that helps at all. Avaya has a (2) PC cards. One allows remote programming via a dial-up modem along with system back-ups & restores while the other one is strictly a back-up & restore card.

Another item to add would be some form of a UPS to keep the system alive during a commercial power failure.

Just to formally answer the original question - there is no trick to restart. Power back on, system should come back up without intervention. I agree w/TouchToneTommy - get it replaced.
