Start Report asynchronous Using Print Engine?

I have a report which loads a large data set. When I start this report from crystal reports, first data sets are shown on the report while report continues getting data from the database in background. When I call the same report with Crystal Reports Print Engine (PEStartReport, PEOutputToWindow) I dont see first data sets. I only get all data when report hasfinished collecting data from db.
What I mean: it seems that the report started from Crystal Reports collects the data asynchronous. Is it possible to have this behaviour also when using Print Engine?
