Start process for each file in set folder

I have one folder that needs all files inside of it copied to another location. However, this folder is @ 2gigs & it takes a while to copy just the folder. What would be the best method to start a "copy" process for each file in the folder? It seems as if all attempts I've made, one file will copy, then the next. I need them all at once for performance. Any help would be appreciated!

Well, I'm not sure how much faster this would be to script as the file manipulation ends up getting handled by the file system anyhow, basically you will want to use the os package for this.

I did find one nifty little hack using the win32 api (need win32all for this):


I assumed you were on windows, if that was incorrect I'll come back with a *nix solution.
