We have our VB application installed and run from CITRIX box, and gave users ability to open some locations on the servers via Windows Explorer. But when we launch Explorer from our app on CITRIX, users can not use drag-and-drop functionality because they have Explorer run on CITRIX and their files on local machine

So the question is – how can I launch *local* (user’s computer) Windows Explorer from my application run from CITRIX machine? Which pretty much translates to “start application located on other machine and have it run on the other machine”

Have fun.

Can you not share the files on the host machine and then access them via the network on the thin client?

Yes, I can do it, and the users can do it, too.

But they would like to have an easy way to deal with the issue.

So in simple terms:
User is seatting at the computer A.
Starts the application that runs on computer B.

How to make application on B start Windows Explorer on A?

Have fun.
