start external Application and handover variable

Hi Guys,

i'd like to start an external Application an handover a variable from the current opened dataset.

I thought i could post a button in the Toolbar, for example:

explorer.exe E:\ # starts the exlorer in drive E

what i want is

explorer.exe %cutomerNo% # should start Explorer in Customers Directory


Any Ideas ?

But to read a field from the current contact, you need to use the ACT! SDK
