Around the web, I have read numerous people's accounts of how difficult and unreliable the DDE interface is for poking information into PeachTree in general (and for my purposes PeachTree Complete 2002).
I've decided not retravel these rough roads and so I am instead looking for a way to run a CSV file import into PeachTree without user intervention. One article I read suggested that its author (having tried in vain to get the DDE interface running) was now exploring a keystroke style solution. Unless this question receives an unexpected positive response, I will probably have to follow that path myself.
Here is my questions...

Is there anyway to tell PEACHW.EXE which company to load from the command line?

Is there anyway to tell PEACHW.EXE to import a specific csv file whose name is provided on the command line?

Before anyone offers the PAWCOM solution, let me thank you for your intentions, but my budget doesn't allow for component purchasing right now. I'm sure its a great solution, but I can't afford it.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Peace,
Colt.

I'm sorry for offering the PAWCOM solution, but for a third party component, the price is VERY resonable compare to the time that you will be spending on trying to find a solution (that is from experience). As they always say, Time is money.

I agree that time is money.
I agree that for a third party component PAWCOM is cheap.
I agree it would be the simplest and easiest path.

Unfortunately, in this depressed tech market, my total compensation for this project is only $500.
Spending 4/5's of it for PAWCOM leaves me with almost no profit.
Better to work a little bit, than only make a little bit.

Besides...
I've come up with a few answers for myself.
A). If I put the shortname of a company on the PEACHW command line, that company will automatically load.
B). If I setup my import layout within PeachTree to match the CSV file I am already creating, I can save that layout and if I name it with a low alphabetic value, it will sort to the beginning of the import list.
C). At that point, it is simply a process of launching PEACHW.EXE with the company name on the command line, then after a short time delay, sendkey'ing the appropriate keystrokes to start the import. This should not take a great deal of time or effort.
It won't be pretty, but since I'm only being paid chicken feed for this solution, pretty is optional.
Thanks for the advice though.
I will bid my next peachtree project higher and include the purchase of PAWCOM in my plans.
