I have a Vodavi Starplus DHS and have purchased a Single Line Adapter for it p/n 9854-00. This should work on this system right? Is there any system programming I need to do to enable this on a certain station port? Right now it is hooked up to station 30 on the ekt side. On the analog side all I am getting is the high pitched digital station port sound.

That unit will not work with the DHS. I believe the correct part number is SP7420-00.

Yep. There's the basic 7420-00 which includes the housing and also an expansion card.
