Starplus 1428 ext. "pick-up" failure

Re: Vodavi Starplus 1428. The "pick-up" button on my phone will not pick up a particular ringing extension. I can pick up others. I do not want to forward calls from that extension to mine because that line has the appropriate voice message. Can anyone describe a modification - in lay terms - or point me to the relelvant page in the > 600 page 1998 manual and tell me what buzz words I am looking for.

Ok, I figured it out, but for the sake of other users like myself the answer is: With the handset in its cradle, press the SPEED BUTTON 2 TIMES, then press the FLEX BUTTON that you want to program to connect to the other incoming station(the "flex" buttons are in the middle; one may be labeled "voice mail&quot, then ENTER 646 followed by the THREE DIGIT STATION NUMBER (aka extension number). Instructions found on p. 300-9 of the manual, keyword Call Coverage Feature.
