Does Microstrategy support star schema?

depends on what you mean by a star... If you have both fact detail level (eg. individual daily sales) and aggregated data (say monthly summaries) in the SAME base table, then you'll need to create table views for it to work in mstr. It's ok to have the lookups in the same table but not the data itself. Any other schema is fine.

It does support star schema. But it is more adaptable and has features that supports for a normalised design.

From ver 7.0 onwards it supports for any oltp design too.
