We have several reports which we send to our digital copier, and would like to have them stapled on each group change. I have been unable to find a way to embed the PCL code in the report, so is there a way to automatically print multiple copies of a report, each time specifying a different parameter from a list of values? ie: I have 60 values in a group, and need to print a stapled report for each of these values which represent Group 1.

Any ideas?

You may need to use a 3rd party tool (see list at: that provides automatic bursting functionality.

My Visual CUT software is one such tool, but it currently provides bursting functionality for Exporting and E-mailing (not for printing). It would be trivial to modify the software to support bursting to a printer as well.

On the other hand, you may want to rethink the whole paper distribution approach. Instead, consider using one of the "bursting capable" tools listed on the site above to electronically burst and e-mail the reports (using pdf format for example). Should save time, paper, and effort...

Cheers,
