On an Option 11 we have 3903 phones, you press the message button and the VM responds by requesting a password because it assumes you wish to access the mailbox associated with this extension, all normal right!
If I add a DN of one phone to another, i.e I add 6501 to 6656 so that 6656 can intercept 6501's calls, when 6501 tries to get his messages he gets the 'If you know the number' bla bla, and has to enter #6501 to get the password prompt.
