This is a strange happening with one of our NDPS Printers. We are using an HP 4500 printer attached to a Netware 5.0 box with NDPS 2.0. This weekend I loaded SP6 and ran a vrepair on the volumes, not sure what that has to do with the problem but who knows. On Monday I was notified that the printer was not printing. I went to the the printer in Admin and looked at the "Job List" which contained several documents, some very large. I proceeded to try and delete the documents to clear the list. All would delete but one. Here's the strange part. Before I deleted the jobs some printed out. I was notified from the users that these jobs where from months ago and that some of the documents that had been printed have not been accessed for 5-6 months. How in the world would this stuff print out. One thing that got printed was a report that kicks out from a users program but is not saved anywhere, its ran then printed but not saved. It printed a report from October which could not have been pulled from file because its not saved. Any ideas on what happened. Thanks.

Stange NDPS Printing Issue

I had this problem too I think it was due to a problem with the printer memory HP replaced it and I have never had the problem again or it could have been the printserver I can't quite remember though as it was ages ago! Sorry to not be of more help but thought you might like to know you are not alone!

It is a "Post CSP5 NDPS updates (Last modified: 02MAY2001)"
The patch is called NDP2XP6.exe
799963 bytes; Date/Time: 05-02-2001/12:09AM
It is a consolidation of all the latest NDPS version 2.x Post CSP5(consolidated patches for 5.0(SP6A) and 5.1(SP2)) updates.

Can anyone help? I have a NW5 (SP6a) at one location and one at another communicating over 56K link. Trying to send a print job to a queue locally which is serviced by a NDPS printer at remote site. Job does not leave queue. Get "Error - NDPS v2.00, Printer detals cannot be viewed....error number 305" while trying to check with NWAdmin. This only happens once in a while but it is getting to be annoying.
