Hi,
We are in the middle of a re-brand and I have been asked by our Marketing department if there is a way to insert a template out of office message for all of ours users? Ideally something that would run and change all the out of office messages (that weren't currently active) to a standard template.

Plan B would be a VBS script that the user would click which would insert the new template.

Any ideas gents??

Have a look at symprex.com
they have a couple of different oof tools.

Might be covered by one of them.

That looks great, thanks ntinlin

Do you know if there is a way to disable the option of putting an out of office rule on? Obv not the standard wizard, I mean a rule that responds every time. (I'm a group policy n00b btw)
Ideally we want to railroad users into using out standard out of office template.

You can disable the out-of-office add-in in Outlook or make the menu item unavailable but that would mean they couldn't control it at all, not just not set the message unfortunately.

If you are able to use a tool to set the standard you want then it becomes a people process not a tech process. i.e. We've set this template, if you change it bad things will happen to your performance report and/or bonus.

I've found that most users are lazy enough that if you set something as standard few will bother themselves to try and make changes. Obviously there are exceptions. :)
