Is there any kind of a document size standard for using Flash in a presentation. I know it depends on settings of the monitor etc. But I was wondering if there was a general standard set anywhere.
Personally I try and keep any site I build completely in Flash to around 770x400 pixels in size. This fits into an 800x600 monitor window, without scaling, allowing for most browser toolbars etc without scrollbars appearing.
Since over 40% of people still use 800x600 settings you're limiting your audience if you design solely for higher resolutions. Mind you if the client wants something designed to fit a 1024 window that's cool too...
If by 'presentation' you mean you're building a standalone projector you can use the full monitor size as no browser is necessary so your dimensions can exactly match 800x600, 1024x768 etc and you may even have a target machine to run it on so you'll know more about the settings in advance.
