I am writing a standard operating procedure for a solaris environment.Does anyone have any pointers as to the format and what should be included in it.

Can you elaborate what exactly you want to include? Rebooting including application startup, disk/filesystem layout/monitoring, examining message files etc would seem to be a good starting point. Is this document to be used by experienced operators or someone new to the system?

Common Desktop Environment (CDE) User Interface and Settings. Basic UNIX Commands...

The docuement will be use by group memebers new to the system

Perhaps a good place to start might be the FAQ to this forum, adapting them as necessary to your situation.
