Hi all,

I have a problem where Acrobat Standard 6.0 has turn M$ Office into a slug.

I have heard that you can remove the toolbars, but how can I do that?

Also, any other ideas are welcomed.

Thanks,

Brett

Hi,
I saw an interesting suggestion awhile back to get toolbars out of office. I didn't save a link - so I am doing this from memory - also have 7 - don't know if 6 will be the same.

The gist of the conversation as I remember it was that Adobe's setup/program load was going to undo Office changes each time Adobe reloaded so an approach was to rename the files Adobe loads.

I have not tried this yet, but in my system I think the path was

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\PDFMaker\Office

And in there you can see pdf maker dll files relating to various office applications. Renaming them would make them temporarily (until you renamed them back) unavailable.

As I said, I have not tried this so I cannot give you feedback about whether it works or other issues it might cause.

Thanks,

I will test it today.

Brett

I happen to be on a mac so don't know if this will help.

In Word I can go to View menu/toolbars/customize. I can select Acrobat pdf maker and hit Delete in the customize window. I can also uncheck it in the customize window and it does not show in subsequent docs/launches.

I would assume the same can be done in other Office apps.
