Hey, I have a stand alone Windows 2003 R2 server I'm building. It will actually be functioning as a web server, not part of a domain and it won't have any clients, in the traditional client/server sense. I need antivirus protection for this box and I'm not sure what to get. Symantec wants me to purchase their Corp Edition. Normally that's what I'd do, but it's a minimum buy of 5 users, around $175. I'm looking for something simple, perhaps a retail box product. I'm not looking for fancy bells and whistles like a Norton Internet Security or McAfee's "Wreck Yer PC" Security Suite. I just need a plain jane antivirus filter that will run and support a server box. Any ideas?

Nod32.

AVG by Grisoft isn't bad.

$58 for a one year sub I believe.

I'll second NOD32 it a fair price and pretty light compared to other offerings.
