Hi everyone,
I am designing a web site (out of flash if you havent gathered already :) ) for a non profit youth organisation. I would like to place a copy of the web site on a stand alone pc so that people can view it at the organisation, parents, prospetive members etc...

The organisation it self cant afford internet access so I was wandering how can I get the flash plugin on to the pc?

Or if that cant really be done.. I have a laptop and mobile phone (nokia 6210) both with infared.. I could always downlaod it that way straight on to the pc.. but does anyone know how to connect through your phone on to the internet? Having said that, I would imagine it would be very slow indeed!!

The pc is running win98 IE 5.5, any help would be great,
Cheers

I thought IE5.5 would already have it. Anyway, if you look on a computer which already has Flash installed, in the 'Players' folder, there'll be a FlashPla.exe file and InstallAXFlash.
Copy these files onto a disk and run them on the stand alone one. This'll give them the stand alone player and IE plugin.

This is for Flash 5 by the way. I don't think Flash MX gives you the ActiveX executable in the 'Players' folder.

Regards

You also have another option.

You can make your Flash file into an exe by going to publish settings and ticking choosing projector. Then publish.

It's worth giving your Flash file a good test afterwards as the process is not always bug free.
