Stand Alone or Backup DC??

I am going to be setting up Microsoft Exchange Server and I was wondering, when setting up NT, should I set it up as a Stand Alone Server or a Backup DC? If I set it up as a Stand Alone, do I have to setup all new user names and profiles? [sig][/sig]
