Hi,

I have made a program, that includes database access and some components that I have made myself. How do I create the executable to be stand alone, and what files do I need to include in order to make it operate properly when I move it to another system??

Thanks

First look at faq101-187, faq101-188, and faq101-189. If your program needs BDE, then that will have to be installed and set up as well the data base. If the components you wrote need any kind of external resource, (i.e., dll's, ini files, etc.) then they will also have to be installed, too. If you have BCB Pro or Enterprise then you also have InstallShield. Read their manuals carefully and be prepared to experiment with creating install files.

BCB standard comes with installsheild express.

Dont be tempted to upgrade your bde while using BCB standard. I had major problems and had to
uninstall and reinstall.
