I am not an AutoCAD user so I am researching what can be done in the program.

If this is not easily done, I will apply this process in Adobe Illustrator, which can handle DWG files as an import/export (not a native file format). However, I would prefer to have this done in the original AutoCAD application.

I have a folder full of DWGs that need to have company information and drawing dates stamped on each file before we distribute them to the public. Is there a facility to do this easily in AutoCAD?

Hi,
Yes AutoCAD can do what you want easily. It may depend on which way you choose. You can create what AutoCAD calls a block (a group of things like text, lines, whatever) and then insert them onto each drawing. You could print with a watermark. You can insert an image of your stamp. There are a few other ways too.
