Hello all, I've just installed a network printer and whilst output does appear on it, the printing is stair-stepped. There is no facility on the printer itself for altering the LF/CR settings and I have had a look at Tony Lawrence's site for inspiration, to no avail. Anyone got a simple solution to this problem? Thanks.

Hi at there are many articles that deal with your error.

Please look for articles numer:

i hope this works.

Thanks champetu. It turns out that the Axis box through which I was printing hadn't been configured correctly when installed. However, the articles you mention are certainly worth reading in any case. Strange isn't it, how printing has never really been one of Unix' strengths.

I've got to disagree. It may not be a strength since it is a passive unix activity, but it sure isn't a weakness. You can do just about anything with the output if you know where to go and what to tweak. Ed Fair
