I have a Core Switch (HP 4208vl) and another HP 4208vl and 8 HP 4000M switches located at different buildings for distribution. Some locations require 2 units of HP 4000M and they were connected via cross cable. All my switches have its own IP address. I've noticed that my core switch stacking feature was disabled and the rest were enabled. Can I disable stacking to all the other switches? Would it affect the unmanaged switches connected in my network? Would it affect the locations with 2 HP 4000M switches connected via cross cable?

stacking" on those switches doesn't actually do anything much, so there's no point really using it. I don't see why it would affect any unmanaged switches.
