One stacking cable will work, two stack cables will keep the stack operational if one of the stack ports fails.
Set one to base, the other not set to base, connect cascade up to cascade down, power up, watch the magic. They should both be on the same software, if not they should upgrade to match if AUR is enabled.
Thank you. I will use two cables, another tech was telling me to use one cable as two makes no sense. I did not think about the first port failing, I was thinking more along the lines of higher bandwidth with two cables.
