Hello,

I have a data connection/dataset which gives me the following info on transactions:

Time 11:13
Count 3,500
AVG Per Hour 250
Estimate 6,500

Is it possible to create a stacked horizontal bar chart to reflect the results as follows:

Processed (Blue)
Projected (Green)
Gap (Red)

The bar will have ticks placed at 1,000 - 9,000.

I was thinking that the first part of the bar would be blue (processed transactions), then green (projected) then red (gap between projected and target goal). On the bar I will hard code a target goal number which would appear at the 7K tick mark.

Is this even possible with this or any other chart in Excel 2007?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Larry

Hi,

You need 3 columns for your 3 values, for each category value.

Your target series will be a LINE chart type.

Pretty simple.

Hi Skip,

I'm a bit confused. I'm trying to have one horizontal bar with three colors. Are you suggesting I use a line chart type and make the line thick like a column?

Thanks,
Larry

No. Use a stacked bar chart type fo the 3 data columns.

Use a line chart type for the target value column.
