I am adding a BPS2000 to a working stack of 450s, but can't get them to stack. Cables seem OK.

Software is: 2.5.0.40 (BPS), 4.1.0.6 (450s), ISVN all 2

Switches start, and cascade up/dn LEDs light green on all 3 switches, then the 450's up/dn LEDs flash for a while, BPS2K LEDs remain steady. Later, base LEDs on 450s flash, up/dn remain steady.

Not sure how to interpret these.
Does anything jump out as being wrong?

Thanks in advance
Si.

make sure on the bps you have told it that its a hybrid stack and their IOSs are at compatable versions

Thanks. I wasn't aware of the hybrid stack setting in the switch configuration area. I've reset each of them, and added a couple more to the stack, and so far they appear to be communicating OK.

I wrestled with trying to put a 470 into a 450 stack for 3 months... only to find out I needed to change that one setting.

glad I could help!

I believe you will have to update the 450 S/W for Hybrid
stacking.
