I'm having problems getting SSRS to run on my laptop. I'm studying up for the 431, so I installed SQLEval. I got to the chapter regarding SSRS and decided it was time to install IIS. I did so, went into Reports Config, and got a message saying there was no Report Server.

I checked and SSRS wasn't initially installed, so I launched SQLEval again, but it keeps giving me warnings that IIS is either disabled or not installed, so I cannot install SSRS.

I have triple checked and IIS is installed (localhost gets me to the IIS screen as well).

The only solution I can find online is to re-install Vista...not an option. Anyone got a clue what is going on here?

Got it figured out. When installing IIS on Vista make sure EVERY option is selected. Don't pick and choose what you think SQL will need, just select everything and install.

Thanks for the heads up. How does IIS 7 work with SQL?
