We have developed a program that creates charts which are exported to excel and pasted into PowerPoint. Sometime in the last two weeks the quality of the text on the graphics deteriorated to an unacceptable level. Exporting as tiff is just as bad. Is there a solution to exporting a decent chart to excel? even that might include a third-party program that could be incorporated into Reporting Services? Thanks.

Have you tried Dundas ?

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

No, but I will take a look at it. I have also seen references so SoftArtisans Officewriter but I don't know how well it incorporates with RS.

AFAIK, Dundas hasve been creating charting solutions for MS products for quite a while. They have a new package out that is specifically for RS...

I'll second Dundas. I've been using it for some time now and it is very good. Very flexible and the controls are extremely easy to work with. To be honest I have yet to find something I could not do that was required of a type of dashboard, report etc... Their ajax methods are also pretty awesome and provides a very good user experience. The price isn't that bad either compared to other controls that have comparable capabilities out of the box
