hello,

we need the ability to allow mutiple domains to use SSL.

I have been told that if you get a wildcard SSL certificate, you can apply that to the root and IIS will deal with sub domains.

This wayyou can have multipe DNS AName records for all your websites, pointing to the same IP address and IIS will sort out correct routing to requested website via the header and encrypt using SLL with the wildcard root certificate.

Is this correct and how do you apply it to the root domain?

Thanks,

Thanks Chris,

All sorted and running securely.

Though IIS7 still won't let you share IP with port 443, though there is a command line workround, but unsure if it breaks security so have gone with multiple IP's for the time being.

Cheers,
