Hi everyone,

Rite iam pulling my hair out here. I have setup SSL to be used along IIS..got the CA working..generated the Server Certificate and everything. I can access the site using and i see nice golden lock icon in the browser..but when i try to access the site from another computer i.e. the lock sign aint there. :(

what is it that iam doing wrong just not getting it.please help.
Thanks in advance.

well this is quite insane i have certainly found whats going on but cure is still under process. This is what happens.

When i set anony. access for the site the golden lock appears...however if i remove anony access and start getting a prompt for user authentication the lock simply disappears..NEAT! isnt it..lol..

I am quite this is something at Micsrosofts end and has nothing to do with my configs. :). As a next step i am gonna try some other browsers and see what happens.

I also had this problem, and was told by Billy's boys that the site is still secure, but that it contains some secure and nonsecure data and it prompts to determine if you want to display the nonsecure items. This is usually due to some app from the site actually obtaining dynamic data from a nonsecure location.

If you select "Yes", you will not see the lock (although clicking on the locks location on the status bar will bring up the SSL cert).

If you select "No", you will see the lock and all the data will still be secured.

Idiotic yes, but what are you gonna do. Hope this helps.
