SSL Exchange 2003 iphone

Hi I have posted this in the apple section to. I am sure someone must have had the same problems as myself.

Any help would be appreciated with regards to the following:

I have puchased a ssl certificate from versign: mail.mydomain.com

mail.mydomain.com points to my exchange 2003 server which we house here at the office.

I have installed the certificate on the server and all is working ok, I can connect fine with Outlook Web Access using SSL.

I follow these steps Iphone -> settings -> mail, contacts, calendars -> add account -> Microsoft exchange ->

Enter the email address username and password

Now on the iphone I get the following error:
Unable to verify certificate

The certificate from "mydomain.com" for account test@mydomain.com could not be verified


As you can see, first of all it is trying to connect to mydomain.com instead of mail.mydomain.com I dont understand why the Iphone is trying to connect here because at this stage I have not entered the server information.
