I am going to buy a SSL cert. I am just want to claify something. I only want the cert for OWA. When I generate a New Exchange Certficate I only need to select Client Access Server (outlook web app) and put in my mail server.
When I import the cert and on the Assign Services to Certificate which do I need to select? I am thinking I need SMTP and IIS.

What certificate are you going to use for Autodiscover? What about SMTP?

I am just really using for smtp and IIS.. I got it installed already..

Thanks.

So, you don't expect autodiscover to work, or you're just going to accept the cert errors for that?

never said anything about autodiscover. Right now I do not need it.. This is just a test environment.

I'm just trying to make sure you're getting the right certificate to do everything you need to do. If you want to get another cert later to resolve some aspects that could be incorporated now, that's fine with me. Your money.

I understand that and appreciate it. I did not get a SAN cert. This is a single domain cert.

When I log in to OWA now I get an error message:
An unexpected error occurred and your request couldn't be handled.

Any one have any idea on what is causing this?

To the error I have setup HTTP -> HTTPS redirection which I believe is somehow messing this up.
