What do you mean by install an SSL cert in Solaris 8? As far as I know there is no standard location to install a certificate in an OS. Waht do you need it for? Your web server? If so you should check the httpd documentation for how to install certs.
If you want to generate a certificate, look into the documentation for openssl, which you may need to install if it isn't already on your system.
