I have an application which uses IIS to manage its web front. It installs in the default web site when you install the application. After that I can go into IIS and manage it like any other web site. I have setup a SSL certificate and everything runs fine.
I now have to reinstall the application, which will reinstall the web files on the default web site. Now my question is how to carry the certificate over. Do I have to do anything at all. I want to avoid having to creating a CSR, getting it signed and installing it again.
Please advice.
Thankss.

you could export the certificate then import it after the reinstall. google 'export certificate iis' for a step by step.
