I have a website that has SSL applied to some pages/directories but not all. My left border contains buttons which are set in a javascript. I have other images on some of the pages as well. The images are located in non-secured directory. When I go to a page that is secured, I get a message telling me I have secured and non-secured information on the page -- do I want to view the non-secured items? Yes No.

How do I get rid of this message? Do I have to make a new border, java script and image directory within the secured area and apply it to secured pages? What a pain!

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Sorry to say, but yes you have to store everything on the page in a secure directory to make it not say secure/unsecure. Your other option is to use a frame with the buttons on the side, and your secure page in the other side. This removes the message, but doesn't always put the little "padlock" icon in the browser either. Harold Blackorby

Thanks for the information. I figured as much. It doesn't have to be in the same directory though, just one that is secured...is that right? Does the .js file that places the images also have to be in a secured directory?

Thanks again.

Everything that the pages uses (images, js files, include files, etc.) needs to be in a secure directory yes. But you're right, it shouldn't have to be the same one though. Your browser just cares if it's coming from an https or an http. Harold Blackorby
