We have a single Exchange 2003 server that is currently handling all Activesync and OWA users with a self-signed certificate at webmail.mydomain.com due to expire on 1/22/2009. Webmail is an alias for an MX record of mail.mydomain.com. Our inbound email is handle by Postini antispam. I want to replace our self-signed with a 3rd party cert. I also need to be able to do TLS outbound now. Can I use one cert for my remote users as well as TLS or do I need to generate one for webmail.mydomain.com and another for TLS even though they are both the same server on the inside?

Thank you for any help

You need a third party certificate with subject alternative name. Contact your ISP that owns your domain name and see if they can do you a deal on it.
