I want to use OWA across the net. I've currently got it working through my firwall but without SSL (bad idea I know).

How do I go about implenting SSL with use on a OWA Exchange 2000 Server? The server is a front end server and has SP1 for Exchange installed.

please please forward to me any solutions to this that you might find out. fajmax@yahoo.com thanks I am in the same situation .. thanks much

Make sure you only put SSL on the Front-end. Not supported to put SSL on a back-end if your using a Front-End server.

Have you followed the Front-End , Back-End whitepaper? I just went in for training on this and after reading the paper it took about 5 mins to setup. Just make sure you put in the Web address under the host header name on both boxes and only use Basic Auth. Then put SSL only on Front-End. Dan

I have been trying to do the same I found this:

on technet but I can not seem to get it going

I have a SBS2k and I have installed the Cert server and forced IIS to use SSL (only on the Exchange Dir) and no dice

if I uncheck Require Secure Cannel and connect with http: it works fine

now when I check it and use http: I get the frames with picture boxes with "X" in them and "Loading..."

if I use Https: I get an Error page "The page cannot be displayed"

I looked at my browser settings and to no avail

any help would be awesome>>

Brock (or anyone else that knows the answer :),

Can you tell me how you got it working? I'm trying to do the same thing and am running into the exact same problems (where if I use https:// it tells me the page cannot be displayed). Works fine when I uncheck require secure channel.

Thanks,
