Hi All,

SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio 2008

I am trying to use "Execute Process Start" to fire up a certain application (that has a UI). The process works fine when I execute the process with in SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio itself, it opens the application (the UI). However when I schedule this package via a SQL Server Agent Job, the package runs, but the UI does not open, but the exe is running in the backround (task manager).

Is there away that I could schedule this, but to actaully open up the UI aswell?

Any help will be appreciated.

Michael

No. The application is running within the session that the SQL Agent runs under which is a background process that doesn't have console access.
