Hi,

I imported and migrated a DTS package from 2000 to 2005.

Where am I supposed to store this package?

Right now I have it in a folder I created under "Projects"

Thanks

There you go. Actually, you can put them anywhere you want them.

After the package is converted it's probably stored on your workstation. In the SSMS you will need to connect to the SSIS instance and upload the dtsx file to the SSIS server so that it can be run by the server.

Thanks mrdenny,

for answering all my newbie questions

How do you:
upload the dtsx file to the SSIS server so that it can be run by the server

I'm still reading my book! Haven't gotten to the part about how packages are stored and run...

Thanks
