Currently we have a package that takes source as excel sheet and loads data into ole db destination. This package has various transformations like derived column, data conversion, sort, merge, pivot, lookup, multicast etc.We run this package through Autosys job.The issue we are facing is When we are running the job with a xls version the job is running fine but when we convert this to xlsx this is faililng without any error message at a specific task which is inside a for each loop container (very surprising).
Few of the packages were giving such problem and they were terminating abruptly and we changed the delay validation to true and they ran fine from autosys. But with this package i cant figure out what is the issue because with xlsx format this package runs fine from local visual studio but while running from Autosys it exits abruptly at a specific task and the log file seems to incomplete and there is no information about error .While running from local it is not giving any error message and just few warnings like convert the lookup cache mode.I tried many approaches like changing the delay validation to true, increasing the buffer size, changing the lookup cache mode, addng a breakpoint to that specific task.our client wants a consistent version of excel so we are going for xlsx format. One more thing i noticed whenever there is no data for a cell xlsx sends this as blank unlike xls which converts them to null , however adding a derived column to convert the blank cells to null didnot work.
Appreciate any help on this !
