I'm fairly new to SSIS and need some help. We have an informix database on another server that I need to connect to. We are trying to connect from a 64-Bit windows 2008 box with SQL 2008. I'm using IBM informix 64-bit ODBC drivers which I've used to setup a System DSN. The DSN is working correctly when I test it.

My issue is, when I try to utilize the DSN by adding it to Data Sources under my SSIS project, I can only view 32bit System DSNs and drivers. Not the DSNs I've created under Data Sources of Administrative Tools. I can only add DSNs that are created by using odbcad32.exe under windows\SysWOW64 folder.

Am I doing something wrong? Can someone offer suggestions? Thanks in advance.

BIDS is a 32 bit environment and will only will access 32bit drivers. By utilizing package configuration you can create you package in a manner that will work in both environments.
