SSIS:How to export data from the Flat file and import to Sql server

I am new to SSIS.

I have flat file with parent and child records on the same line with fixed lenth.

actually i dont need all the information on the flat file so is these any way to capture only what i need from the flat file?

is there any way to go to the specific field on the flat file?

How do i loop through the child records?
