Hi, I have a package that loops through a list of customers and outputs a file to each customers folder. If folder doesn't does not exists, I have a file system task that creates it which works good. I would like to have it email me only if it does have to create folder because I have some other steps to do if this is the first time that we output for this customer. I see that you can trap a lot of things but don't see an on success? We have SQL 2005 sp3.

Thanks,
Joe

Best wqay to handle this is use a script task to test and see if the folder exists and set a variable based upon the results.

place a condition you can then place a condition on a control flow to execute the next task only if the variable evaluates to a specified value. You could have this control flow send the email and preform the additional steps required for a first time run.

Thanks for the help, that is the way I was thinking but was hoping for a better way.
