I just installed the SQL server 2008 Enterprise. It said everything installed successfully. When I go to SQL Server Management Studio I can only connect to Database Engine. I cannot even see or connect to analysis services or Integration Services. What is the problem. I tried re-install both the analysis services and Integration Services, but installation says already installed. I need help.

Check to see if their services are running.

Start SMMS
Open Object Explorer
Click on Connect button.

Integration services and analysis services are both running in configuration manager. But is SSMS when you click on connect button it only shows database engine.

On the server/desktop you did the install, go to Start>All Programs>Microsoft SQL Server>

Do you see SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio?

If so, then it is installed...but if you don't see it - then it isn't installed.

If it is installed, try stopping and restarting the services.

Thanks for your response SQLBill. I do see SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio, but cannot see SSIS or Analysis services in SQL Server Management Studio 2008. Both appear running in Configuration Manager.

What is the version of SSMS?
Express maybe?

It is SQL Server 2008 Management Studio. It's under the SQL Server 2008 windows tab also. I can open BIDS and created a package and it works well. I go into Configuration Manager and both Analysis Service and Integration Services are both running. I have configured the MsDtsSrvr.ini.xml file and restarted the Integration Services. But when I go into SSMS only the Database engine shows with the connect tab. SSAS and SSIS does not show in the connect tab. Is their a configuration file for SSMS? Maybe it's pointing to the wrong location?

I was able to solve the problem. I needed to install the management tools. Now I see SSIS and SSAS. Thanks for everyone's help.
