I have a situation where me website resides on one box, and I have both Oracle ond lotus notes databases residing on other boxes. Each page on my site will be built via SSIs. The static pages grabbing both site-wide and local navigation includes.

Some of the pages will have dynamic content derived from either Perl, Oracle PL/SQL or LotusNotes (spit, spit, gag) dbs. My question is how do I make an SSI call to a routine or file that resides on another box? From what I've read it looks like I can't, but I'm hoping somebody might be able to point me towards a work around.

TIA

You cant (for security reasons) make SSI calls to remote machines...

What you *CAN* do is mount the remote filesystem somewhere on the local one so that you can reach the file via a local SSI Call :)
