SSI questions - am I in the right forum?

I'm wondering in which forum I might be able to get some of my question regarding SSI answered?
And in case you guys know, here are my questions:
I need to access the querystring using SSI, is this possible?
I also need to evaluate it.

I don't know if SSI is a dedicated pre-processor, for more power consider using PHP, or equivalent.

I just spent some time learning SSI a few months ago.

I also spent some time looking for an SSI forum, but I couldn’t find any that had people visiting it regularly.
