I know this may not be the right forum to post but I did a search and there isn't an SSI forum, and seings as you put the SSI in the HTML, well here is a good a place as any.

right the question is why does SSI not follow the standard path directive correctly.

i.e. <!--#include virtual="/directory/page.asp" --> is saying / = root of hosting, then directory/page.asp

but if you used <!--#include virtual="directory/page.asp" --> it is still starting at the root? is this correct.

Is there no way to get SSI to adhere to relative paths to the directory the page being parsed resides?

thanks 1DMF

nope , I have the same problem.

relative and the ./ don't seem to have an effect it still starts at the root of the hosting?

oh well i guess that's how SSI works, or maybe I can speak with the web host and get a setting change.

Found this on the subject, but can't test as I don't have Apache running on this machine.
