SSH on AIX 4.3.3 2

Hi,
New in the forum.

Which ssh program runs best on AIX4.3.3? I know openssh can run on 5L. Any suggestion?

you can download openssh from

http://www.bullfreeware.com

for AIX 4.3.3. Its compiled an ready to be installed via smit or installp.

yeah, i tried that one also from bullfreeware and had no problem setting it up. I tried both in 5L and 4.3 AIX..

New to AIX - but have installed ssh on a number of Suns - so downloaded the files from bullfreeware:

openssh-3.7.1.0
openssl-0.9.6.7
zlib-1.1.4.0

Tried to install just openssh 1st, not sure if it contained all other parts - tied to run it -- did not work failed with error that appeared to indicate that it needed zlib, So I install zlib. Then tried sshd again, failed with following error: 0509-023 Symbol setauthdb in sshd is not defined. Thought this might mean it needed openssl - so installed that and tied to run ssh again - still get the same error.

Do I needed some installed setup? Oh yes already generated the keys that worked fine - or at least appears to have worked fine.

Or did I just mess it up by installing the other parts?
