ssh not working after Aix 5.3 upgrade

I have just migrated from Aix 4.3 to 5.3 and ssh won't work.
I installed the new version from bull freeware for Aix5 and all i get now is "PRNG is not seeded" when I try and create keys.

anyone else ran ito this problem.

Is the pseudo random number generator (PRNG) daemon running?

No it's not running

On Solaris, ssh needs either /dev/random or a pseudo random number generator. You might look into the prng for AIX.

You should be using the IBM supported ssh version downloadable from:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/openssh-aix

As far as I'm aware the IBM supported version shouldn't worry about prng as it uses /dev/random. I had the same problem on 5.2 ML03 & it went away with ML04, using the same ssh images. Are you upto date with maintanance? If so I'd recommend ringing AIX support.

I have migrated from Aix4.3.3ML8 -> Aix 5.3ML1. I have other Aix5.3ML1 server which don't have this problem with ssh but they were not migrated install's.
